Cinque Terre

That this area has to offer. Portovenere, Le cinque terre, and the islands Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, are recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1997.

Nature and history


Lunigiana is an important historical and cultural region between Tuscany and Liguria; its name is derived the Roman city of Luni, an ancient Etrusian city, from the Latin LUNA; it is situated on the left bank of the Magra river.
Lunigiana is characterized by the rich and natural landscape between the Tosco Emilian Appenine and the Apuane Alps, part of a vast natural park that attracts tourists, lovers of trekking and climbing.
It is an area for archeological excavations and it’s famous for good wine and food. Lunigiana is a land to visit, to explore, to experience and to love.

Forte dei Marmi and Versilia

Forte dei Marmi is a famous resort in Versilia. It takes his name from the “fort” that it is found in the centre of the city (built at the request of the grand duke Pietro Leopoldo at the end of the XVIII century) and from the term “marble” that was trasported from the nearby Apuane Alps.
This area of Versilia with its many bars, discotheques and luxury shops, is a place frequented by VIP, politicians, business people, sports people and personalities from the world of entertainment.
